Are you buying a car soon?

After a house, buying a car is often the next biggest financial investment many of us will make in our lives.

Whether you’re buying a new car or a used one, it’s important that you take the time to do your research to ensure you’re buying one which is right for you. Nowadays there are plenty of ways you can do some research. You can pick up a motoring magazine, explore the internet, browse on social media and even watch reviews on YouTube.

From here, you might draw up a shortlist of a few cars which you want to explore further and often the best way to do this is to go to your local dealer. But what should you look for when you actually get to the dealer? What are the important questions you should ask about your potential purchase, and what about a test drive? Modern cars are complicated pieces of machinery so it’s important you know exactly what to ask about and look for when you go to the dealer.

In order to help you, we’ve teamed up with Alan Walton from Jim Walton in Penrith to bring you a guide on what to look for when you go to buy your next car. We’ve got some videos which break it down into a few areas, showing you what to look for on the outside of a car, the inside and even when you go for a test drive.

If you’re in the market for a new car, grab a cup of coffee and take ten minutes to review our guide.
